Faulty Faulty lights, faulty computer faulty alarm, faulty........ The list goes on, but things are not always as they seem. Often people will say something is faulty, when in fact it is not. lets take a basic light. You switch it on and nothing happens, most will say its faulty, its not, its just the lamp has reached its expected "life duration" and needs replacement. So you put in a new lamp, switch on and nothing, so you now say the light fitting is faulty, could it be that you did not put the lamp in correctly, or screw it down far enough? Or a computer, it stops doing something midway and just sits there, (it is said to "hang") is it faulty? no, its hanging because its waiting for you to press a button, its not faulty. The whole point is the word FAULTY is usually a display of ignorance to how something works / operates. Electricity and gas bills have gone up, people ask is my meter Faulty As in the case of the new lamp, because it was incorrectly inserted you say the light is faulty, but the truth is you did not insert the lamp correctly, or the computer, you did not press the right button, or in the case of energy bills, the meter is NOT faulty the cost of the energy has gone up. So next time, before you say something is faulty, ask yourself is it just your ignorance that means you do not understand, so you say its faulty?
