Solar garden lights
solar garden lights, any good?
Solar garden lights are, as the name implies powered by solar energy, they
have a couple of small solar cells which convert the sunlight into
electrical energy, this in turn charges up a rechargeable battery.
A light sensor switches the lights on when its dark, simple idea.
Please note most garden solar lights use small LED lights, which are great
for "markers" but sadly no use for much else.
Also as
most are cheap and cheerful they do not last more than around 18 months -
2 years, not to mention the material some of these lights are made from is
not uv stabilised so they break, encouraging you to buy more.
